SpecBridge gives your team a structured, collaborative workspace for creating and managing specifications. Here is what you can do:
Dashboard
Your home base. The dashboard shows an overview of recent activity, key metrics, and quick access to everything in your workspace.
Spec Creation
Create new specs from scratch, from content captured via the Chrome extension, or with help from the built-in AI assistant. When you capture a Confluence page or JIRA issue, it arrives as a draft ready to turn into a proper spec.
AI Assistant
A persistent AI chat panel helps you author specs — it can specify, clarify, plan, break down into tasks, and check a spec against a checklist, following the same structured templates the CLI and its coding-agent integrations use. It can also regenerate a spec's documentation content in place when you ask it to. The assistant supports semantic search over your existing specs, so it can ground its answers in what your team has already written.
Spaces and Projects
- Spaces organize specs within your tenant — think of them like teams or squads. Each space has its own members, sprints, specs, and its own Kanban board.
- Projects are delivery units that can connect to a Git repository (GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps), linking specs to the code that implements them.
Git Connections & Code Bridge
Connect a project to GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps (OAuth or a self-hosted App/client). Once connected:
- Commits and pull requests that reference a spec (e.g.
Fixes SPEC-123) automatically show up on that spec's Development tab - A spec can be configured to require a linked commit/PR before its project's pull requests are allowed to merge
- Spec status can auto-advance based on real commit/PR activity
Spec Management
- Board view — see your specs organized by status on a Kanban board, either tenant-wide or scoped to a single space
- List view — browse, search, and filter all specs
- Spec detail — dive into a single spec to see its full content, comments, version history, stage plans, linked code, and status
- Recent workspaces — the sidebar keeps a quick-access list of the spaces and projects you've visited most recently
Members and Invitations
Manage who has access to your tenant. Invite new members, browse the member directory, and manage pending invitations — all from the dashboard.
Notifications
Stay up to date with what is happening. Get notified when specs change status, when someone requests your review, or when you are mentioned in a comment. Notifications arrive in real time as you work.
Admin Panel
Tenant/organization admins manage their own tenants, users, and (Cloud only) AI usage and billing from a dedicated Admin section — scoped to their own organization. (Super Admins have a separate, platform-wide management area on Cloud deployments — see Actors and Permissions.)
Constitution
Define your team's spec-writing conventions in a constitution document. Set organization-wide rules at the tenant level, with per-project overrides when needed.
Settings and Profile
Manage your account settings, profile information, and tenant preferences.
