Creating an organization

After you sign up, you'll create (or join, via invitation) an organization — your company's SpecBridge Cloud account. Creating one provisions a dedicated, isolated database for it automatically; there's nothing to wait on. You become that organization's first admin. Some plans start with a free trial before any payment is required.

Plans

Plans set limits and pricing for an organization — seats, storage, and which features (like custom AI provider keys) are available. You can view and change your organization's plan from the billing area of the Admin Panel. Changing plans takes effect immediately; billing is prorated.

Billing

Billing runs through Stripe. From the Admin Panel's billing tab you can:

• Start a checkout to move onto a paid plan
• Open the billing portal to update payment details or view invoices
• See your current subscription status (active, past due, canceled)

If a payment fails, your organization moves to a past due state — you retain access while you fix billing, but a persistently unpaid account may be suspended.

Bring your own AI provider key

Depending on your plan, you can configure your own AI provider API key (OpenRouter, NVIDIA, or a self-hosted opencode endpoint) for your organization instead of using the shared default. Your key is encrypted at rest and never visible to SpecBridge staff or other organizations. Set it from Settings → AI Configuration.

Organization-level roles

The short version for Cloud: your organization has its own Admin(s) and Tenant Owner(s) who manage it day to day; a separate, much smaller set of SpecBridge Super Admins operate the platform itself and don't participate in your organization's regular workflow.
